Executed in Togo, Hermès' benchmark grained calf, the HAC 40 is structured and hard-wearing yet far more manageable than its larger siblings — a bag built to be lived with rather than only travelled with. Polished palladium hardware keeps the Etoupe cool and modern, and the classic turn-lock, clochette and padlock complete the piece. The Z stamp dates it to 2021.
Condition
Very good, used only a handful of times. There are some light scuffs and the corners remain in very good condition with minimal wear; the hardware shows the common light scratching. The handles have some colour loss on the inner side — easily addressed at any professional spa and entirely typical of these more recent Etoupe HACs — and the interior has some minor marks. Overall a beautiful example for someone who intends to wear and enjoy the bag. Supplied as a full set: box, dust bag, clochette (bell), lock and keys, and accompanied by its receipt.
