Struck beside the blind stamp, the small horseshoe signals that the bag was produced to individual specification rather than as a regular-line piece, which is why HSS bags are made in tiny numbers and are among the most coveted by serious Hermès collectors. Rouge Vif & Togo — A Statement Colour on the Grand Format

Rouge Vif is one of Hermès' most striking reds — bright, saturated and confident, the antithesis of a quiet neutral and all the more arresting on the commanding HAC 50 silhouette. Executed in Togo, Hermès' benchmark grained calf, the bag is structured, hard-wearing and substantial in the hand, exactly as the model was conceived. Polished palladium hardware keeps the red cool and modern, and the classic turn-lock, clochette and padlock complete the piece. The Z stamp dates it to 2021.
